Lolo Jones is a class act
I wrote this post on Lolo Jones before her unfortunate turn in the 100m hurdles final. She was definitely supposed to win, but her leg hit a hurdle toward the end and couldn’t recover. I was really impressed with her behavior after the race— she wasn’t a sore loser at all. And that is truly a rarity among a lot of the athletes I’ve seen at the Olympics and in general.
Also, she’s pretty. And I like pretty people.

Shame on you, CNN. Ellen DeGeneres and Portia deRossi’s marriage this weekend was perfectly valid in the state of California. Why the scare quotes? They married, not “married”.
I’d expect this “journalism” and thinly veiled homophobia from Fox News, not CNN.
What the eff?? The use of quotes to negate the validity of Ellen and Portia’s marriage = FAIL.
